Detecting Diabetes

If you will also say that you slouch too much for the whole day and you are not perspiring, then you are a perfect target for diabetes. This is a chronic disease due to lack of insulin and most the problems it has been causing is resulted by unusual blood sugar levels. Its symptoms are often disregarded due to its harmless effects but regrets may come after it has escalated to something bigger and damaging.

Phases of Diabetes

A person with a sedentary lifestyle and eats excessively on sugary sweet foods, too much carbohydrates and fats is a possible target for diabetes. Also, this kind of disease is hereditary and you may have it eventually or the moment that you forget to take care of yourself. It is important to know the different phases of diabetes so that you can quickly attend to the sickness. The pre-diabetic stage is called to be insulin resistance. This is where lack of insulin starts affecting the blood sugar level control. Microalbuminaria comes next wherein blood is visible in urine.

Symptoms will be obvious on the later stage of diabetes. As the disease grows inside a human body, the symptoms and signs can also grow from subtle to extreme. On the final or advanced stages of diabetes, the heart, kidney and liver could be affected badly. It can also cause permanent blindness to the patient. Eventually, these complications on different organs could lead to failure causing death. While on the earlier stage, it is important to undergo different treatments, medications, body maintenance and healthy diet to prevent the disease from escalating fast to its advanced phases.

Diabetic Symptoms

An abnormal blood sugar level is the archenemy for diabetics. Most symptoms are being caused by this and it could really affect many processes inside our body. The first sign doesn't bring any harm and shrugging it off is not a rare case anymore. Frequent urination and abnormal thirst is one of the first symptoms that may occur. A person's appetite can also be affected as the body would keep on asking for more food.

Insulin shortage could lead to extreme weakness or sudden fatigue. An abnormal blood sugar level can also cause the vision to be blurred as it affects the fluids that can exist on body tissues such as eye lenses. A diabetic person could go blind eventually on the worst stages. Other symptoms that would occur on diabetics are sudden weight loss, itchy skin and numbness. It is important to have yourself checked regularly especially your blood sugar level to confirm whether you have this kind of illness.
